SMS Terms & Conditions

WorkMed California, APC · Effective August 10, 2026

1. About this messaging program

WorkMed California, APC (“WorkMed California,” “we,” “us”) sends text messages to patients about their care with our office. Messages are limited to:

  • A link to a new-patient intake form you have been asked to complete
  • Directions and parking information for your appointment
  • Our privacy notice or these terms, if you ask for them

This is not a marketing program. We do not send advertising, promotions, or offers by text, and we do not text you about anything other than your own care with our office.

3. Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies, and depends on your care. Most patients receive only one or two messages in total — typically a single form link after a call. We do not send recurring or scheduled messages.

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data charges apply to messages you send and receive. We do not charge you for these messages.

4. How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message to be removed immediately. We also honor STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, and REVOKE.

After you opt out you will receive one confirmation message, and then no further texts. Opting out of texts does not affect your care, and it does not stop us from phoning you or from sending mail about your claim.

If you change your mind, reply START to resume messages.

5. How to get help

Reply HELP or INFO to any message for contact information. You can also reach us at (866) 980-9580 during Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific time; closed weekends.

Text messages are not monitored for emergencies. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911. Do not use text messages to report a medical problem, a worsening symptom, or an urgent question — call our office at (866) 980-9580 instead.

If you reply to one of our messages with anything other than the keywords above, your message is passed to our front desk staff and a person will follow up with you. There is no automated conversation by text.

7. Carrier liability

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and to network availability, and we cannot guarantee that any particular message will arrive.

Supported carriers may change without notice. If a message does not arrive, call our office at (866) 980-9580 and we will give you the information another way.

8. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Your number is passed only to the telecommunications carrier that delivers the message.

Our full Privacy Notice explains what we collect, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always posted at https://workmedca.com/legal/sms-terms with its effective date at the top. Material changes to how the program works will be disclosed before they take effect.
